Opps a bit of a delay for day three – I forgot all about it last night.

Well yesterday we saw the sun!! Oh yes we did – very exciting! lol I tell you the weather down here is crazy. So I had to take a photo of this.

Yes it is washing hanging on the line in the sunshine. Not all that exciting for you but very exciting for me!!

The girls have been spending a lot of time in here after I found a bag of sand. Man they play the funniest games!

Last night in between watching LOST (which was the craziest episode ever – what the heck is going on!?!?!?) I was looking through my albums from when I was on my OE. Ohh some funny, funny photos. Lots of awesome memories from the free & single days!!

Right today is a very special day. It is my parents 37th Wedding Anniversay!! WTG Mum & Dad. It is also my nephews 3rd birthday – Happy, Happy Birthday gorgeous boy. And it is also my good friends Jan & Andy’s wee boy Alex’s 2nd birthday. So lots of celebrating going on arounnd the country today. Me on the other hand has to clear my study desk of all the crap sitting on it & get myself back into study mode. Oh the joy!

So I was reading Vicky’s blog the other day & she had a great idea to post photos about ‘real life’. Things that are happening that are just part of everyday &  maybe get neglected to be photographed. I forgot about it during the weekend but thought I would make a start today.

This morning was just bliss! **Sigh** I dropped the girls off, did a couple of jobs in town then came home toasted some hot cross buns, made a cup of tea & watched PS I Love You on DVD. This is not normal Monday morning behaviour but ohh was it just wonderful. Even if I did spend the best part of the next couple of hours crying. What a great but sad movie – it got me at the wake when the Pogue’s song  came on & then that was it!!

 Most days Tiana and I end up playing a couple of games after kindy and before we have to pick Jamie up from school. Today’s choice was Snap.

I love reading Hannah’s blog and yesterday she had up a list of questions that her friend asked her. At the end of her post she asked for others to play along – what the heck I thought, I’ll join in!

Here are the question’s that Hannah has asked me -

1. What did you want to be when you were growing up? Did that dream change over the years?

When I was young I always thought it would be cool to be an airhostess! I could travel the world and get paid for it. A trip to the US with my family when I was about 12 put an end to that! All that flying & not much sleep did not make for a fun job I decided. Through out school I really can’t remember have any real desire’s career wise. I thought it would be cool working in hospitality did that for a while – ahhh nah! Ohh how about working in travel – did that for quite awhile – ahhh nah! Ohhh wouldn’t it be cool to be a forensic scientist – ummm maybe not too much study! I must say that for many years I did think about going into teaching but many things stopped me. Though I am please to say that I am nearly at the end of my teaching degree – Will it be my dream job? Who knows – hopefully!

2. Sweet or savoury, which do you prefer?

I’m a food girl! All of it thanks! lol Though if I have to choose just one it would be sweet for sure. Give me a bar of chocolate or a packet of lollies & it will be gone before you can say “Did you save me any??”

3. If you were stranded on an island and could only take FIVE scrapbooking items, what items would you choose?

Asuming I have my photos with me I would have to say – my black pen, my purple paper trimmer, some LOTS of patterened paper, my fiscars scissors and some photo splits! I don’t need much – shhhh don’t tell my husband that though!!!!

4. What qualities do you look for in a friend?

Someone that I can be myself when I am around them & accepts me for all my quirks! And who feels that they can just be themselves around me!! Someone that I can easily talk too & doesn’t mind when I ring them just because.

 5. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I have been lucky enough to visit quite a few places but ohhhhhhh there a SO many more places I wish to visit. My list is so long but here are a few.

India – A country that I have always, always wanted to visit. I want to go and experience the different cultures, religions, food – everything!

South Africa – To see where my DH grew up and experience that places that he has experienced.

Israel – OK I have already been here but ohh I so want to go back here. So many memories of Israel but I would love to go back and see more of the country and make lots more memories.

Las Vagas – Just because!! DH & I have been joking about going & having an Elvis wedding there!

I am so pleased that I have joined in Penny’s Blogshere Book Circle. Feb’s book was “The Guernsey Literacy & Potato Peel Pie Society”.

The book is set in 1946 where Juliet (a newspaper coloum writer) recieves a letter from a man from Guernsey who comes across a book once owned by her. They begin writing to each other along with other members of the The Guernsey Literacy & Potato Peel Pie Society.

At first I found it really hard to get into this book. The letter format really put me off as it felt as though the book didn’t flow. Though about half way into the book, when Juliet heads to Guernsey I really got into it. I LOVED this book. It was moving, witty and it really made me think especially about what it would of been like to live during and after WWII. Of course now I want to go to Guernesy! I have have been doing a little research about the Island & it looks like such a neat place. Will add to the list of places to go.

My exercise programme that I started on Monday has been going fantastic. I love it feeling of aching muscles – good for the soul!

There has been alot of talk around here about jobs, babies and travelling – mainly from Miss 4yrs. She tells me she really wants to go to Paris and wanted to know if there is a hospital there for her to have her baby. She is also interested in working on the farm, in a post office, McDonalds and having lots of babies! Lots of great discussions going on around her at the moment I tell you.

So I have seen this done on a few blogs lately & thought to myself – hmm wonder if there are 25 things I can tell blog land about me. So here goes -

1. I’m 33, a Cancerian & very true to Cancerian traits.

2. I met my DH in Israel. We were engaged less than three months after meeting and married seven months after meeting. It was just meant to be!

3. I REALLY want to go back to Israel one day.

4. I have dislocated my patella three times. The last time I was dancing on a table when it happened. Enough said about that!

5. I am in my final year of a Bachelor of Teaching Degree. I have done this completely extramurally and will be so pleased when I have finished.

6. I love pizza & have passed down this love to my youngest who wants pizza for tea every night! lol

7. Tomorrow I am starting up a fitness programme that I hope will get me back into shape.

8. I spend waaaay to much time on the computer. A habit I really need to break.

9. As a kid I loved the smell of petrol. There was nothing better than winding down the window at the petrol station and taking a few deep breaths!! (Weird I know!)

10. Now there is nothing I love more than the smell of more than freshly baked bread. I love to eat fresh bread just as it is too. No toppings needed thanks!

11. When I was pregnant with DD#1 I craved orange juice. With DD#2 it was coke! Hmm explains alot!

12. I am a very emotional person!! (Just ask DH!)

13. My mum chose the day I was born. She knew I was going to be induced so she chose the 4th of July – why? Because it was “4 Squares Birthday” (the store) and they gave babies born on that day lots of presents.

14. I have always wanted to go overseas and do aid/volunteer work. Maybe I will get the chance one day.

15. I was born in Auckland. I LOVE going back there but I don’t think I will ever go back there again to live. (So long as DH is around anyway! lol He hates it!)

16. I get road rage when driving in big cities now! Been away from them for too long.

17. I love to read. I have just finished reading the first book on our book club list. Will blog about it later!

18. I don’t have very much will power especially when it comes to food! Probably explains why I have never been on a diet.

19. When I am nervous I talk – alot!

20. I am not a girly girl. Most of the time you will find me in jeans & a t-shirt. I don’t really get hand bags & shoes are shoes! lol But in saying that I love shopping and if I had endless supplies of money I’m sure I could learn to love them.

21. I love nothing better than soaking in the bath.

22. When I was little I cut my hair & blamed it on the neighbour!

23. I would love to fly in a fighter jet and drive in a formula 1 car – someone else can do the flying/driving though.

24. I love the programme LOST. I am truely hooked on it and can’t wait for the new season to come back on.

25. My biggest dream is that one day my family and I will live in a home that we own.

Well kindy started back this week. Miss Tiana was very excited to go back & see all her buddies. (And leave Jamie & I for a few hours too, I’m sure). School starts back on Monday – Wahoo! As much as I love my big girl she is very ready to get back to school. The holidays seems to just fly by this year though. Doesn’t really feel like it has been that long. While Tiana has been at kindy this week Jamie & I have been taking the dog for a walk down by the river. Jamie chats away all through the walk about various entertaining topics & this morning was no different. As we were walking along she told me that she was going to be a teacher when she got bigger because I know stuff about LOTS of things!! She then proceeded to tell me all about bunnies (there are heaps of rabbits down where we walk!) Too funny!

I have joined Penny’s Blogosphere Book Circle. We are going to read a book a month for the next 12 months & do a review, have some discussions etc. It is going to be great as there are many different sorts of books on our list to read. For Feb we are reading “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society” by Mary Ann Shaffer. I have started reading this already as it was available at the library now. So far all I will say is hmmmmm.

Right, I’m sure there are things I should be doing so I better go & do them.
